General Information Regarding the Awards
Sheffield Business Awards Headline Sponsor is Elevation Recruitment
Thursday 19th January 2012
Doors open at 7pm for the Champagne drinks reception, entry before this time will not be permitted. Guests are to be seated by 7.45pm for dinner and the awards ceremony. The evening will continue with entertainment until 2am.
Venue
Ponds Forge International Sports Centre (Click here for venue details) or (click here for directions). Parking is available at Ponds Forge.
Table bookings and guest names
Tables can be booked via the 'Book Your Place' tab. An invoice will be sent for payment. Payment must be received in full before any tickets will be sent out.
Once a booking is received an email will be sent containing the seating plan. This needs to be completed and returned to sheffieldbusinessawards@scci.org.uk by 12th December 2011. If you don't wish to submit guest names, or if they aren't submitted by the 12th December 2011 the cards will simply say 'Guest of (company)'.
Tickets
Tickets will be sent to you for you to distribute to your guests - these will be e-tickets. You will not be sent any tickets until payment has been received. Tickets will be send out week commencing the 9th January
Dress code
Strictly black tie / evening dress. Please see images on the 'wall of fame' to see what guests have worn in previous years!
Food and drinks
Menu
Starter: Chilled Fillet of Salmon with Ginger and Lemongrass served with Coriander and Linguine Vegetable Salad
Intermediate: Iced Citrus Sorbet with Sweet Lemon Slice
Main: Roast Chump of Lamb on Caremelised Red Cabbage, served with Dauphinoise Potato, Celeriac Puree and Redcurrant Glaze
Vegetarian: As above, with Butternut Squash, Pumpkin and Fine Fettle Cheese Filo Wellington (replacing the lamb)
Dessert: White Wine Poached Pear with Chocolate and Ganache Terrine and a Quenelle of Clotted Vanilla Cream
Please note that you must make the organisers aware of any vegetarian meals required or other dietary requirements before the event, to guarantee availability.
A wine list and order form will be sent to you directly from Sheffield International Venues. There will be a cash bar in the reception area, open during the Champagne reception. Please ensure your guests are aware that the bar in the main hall will be closed upon entry to the main hall and intermittently throughout the evening. If your guests require drinks from the beginning of the evening they will need to buy a drink from the reception bar. We would strongly recommend that you pre-order wine and set up any bar accounts in advance of the evening.

Important notice
Guests are reminded that the distribution of promotional material is not allowed at the event without the written permission of the event organisers. The event organisers reserve the right to exclude any guest or organisation, in their view, is disrupting the evenings proceedings.
By attending the evening you are allowing for any photographs taken to possibly be included in media associated with Sheffield Chamber or any partner associated with Sheffield Chamber or the Sheffield Business Awards.
