Deadline extension for Sheffield Business Awards

Businesses in the Sheffield City Region now have an extra week to get their submissions in for the most prestigious awards ceremony in the region.

The deadline for the Sheffield Business Awards, organised by Sheffield Chamber of Commerce in association with First for Business magazine, has been extended by seven days to 5pm on Friday 21 October.

More than a 1,000 people from the city region’s business community will gather for the prestigious and ever growing event, which is this year celebrating its tenth anniversary. The awards now form a key part in an annual recognition of business achievement in the region for individuals, SMEs and larger organisations.

The awards are open to Sheffield Chamber members and any sized business with an ‘S’ postcode in the South Yorkshire region.

Kate Stephenson, events manager at Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, said: “We have had a lot of interest in this year’s awards but we are still encouraging businesses to come forward for their chance to being showcased in front of the best of the region’s business community.

“The awards are a true celebration of the achievements of the local business community and with new categories introduced this year, like the Third Sector Award, we are giving more businesses than ever the chance to shine.”
